WAVERLY — Three people have been charged in the death of 65-year-old Christopher Martin, who was killed on Aug. 21 after being shot.

Pike County investigators uncovered the names of three individuals — Aaron Dale Cox, Ashley Lynn Landrum, and Dalton James Boyd — who had allegedly committed the murder of Martin.

A news release from the Pike County Sheriff's Office stated that interviews along with text messages led to the charges against all three individuals.

On Friday, Aug. 28, Cox and Landrum were located and detained without incident by the Pike County Sheriff's Office, with the help of the Highland County Sheriff's Office.

Highland County detectives also seized drugs and a firearm in a search warrant executed at 7777 Overman Road.

Cox was officially charged with the murder of Martin and appeared in Pike County Court on Aug. 30. Cox was given a $1 million cash-only bond by Pike County Judge Moraleja.

Landrum is currently incarcerated in Ross County on unrelated charges. A warrant has been issued for her. A warrant has also been issued for Dalton James Boyd in connection to Martin's murder. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is advised to contact the Pike County Sheriff's Office Investigation unit or your local authorities.
