Indianapolis Colts star Carson Wentz got a nice surprise ahead of Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans. Wentz spent time with his biggest fan Giovanni Hamilton, who was in town on a special visit with his family.

Hamilton met with Wentz during pregame. The 14-year-old fan has followed Wentz’s career since his time with the Philadelphia Eagles. The duo met during Eagles training camp in 2019.

Indianapolis Star reporter Matthew VanTryon captured the touching moment

This offseason, Hamilton went viral with a heartwarming farewell video to Wentz after learning he was traded to the Colts. In the video, Hamilton shared that Wentz would always be his hero.

“You’re still my hero and always will be,” Hamilton said in the video. “Colts fans, you really have a real one and he is going to do you some good. I know what he is capable of. I know what he is capable of with Frank Reich and you guys are going to go off next season.”

Hamilton has Schwartz-Jampel Syndrome, which causes abnormalities in the skeletal muscle, bone and cartilage. Wentz was inspired by his courage and determination. He's remained in contact with Hamilton and the duo have a strong bond.

This weekend, the Colts and Wentz’s AO1 Foundation brought Hamilton to Lucas Oil Stadium. Hamilton was able meet Colts mascot Blue and spent time on the field. On Sunday, Wentz gave him a signed football with a touching message.

“Giovanni! You da man! You inspire me to be a better man and better fighter,” Wentz wrote. “Much love and respect man! God bless you buddy!”

The Colts defeated the Texans with Hamilton in attendance. Wentz threw for 223 yards and two touchdowns to cap a memorable afternoon.
