The NFL has provided a lot of memorable moments in its storied tenure. However, what happened in Sunday’s game between the Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars certainly takes the cake.

Let’s set the scene.

Jaguars star Josh Allen was facing off against Bills quarterback Josh Allen. It was a unique matchup between two players with the same first and last name.

What followed next was a bit of NFL history. The Jaguars defensive end became the first NFL player to record a sack and an interception of an opposing player with his same name. Allen collected the sack in the second quarter. He later recorded an interception after halftime.

Both plays were big moments for the Jaguars. Allen propelled a strong Jaguars' defensive effort en route to a 9-6 upset victory over the Bills.

The highlight plays caught a lot of attention. Several fans reacted on social media with many recognizing the significance of the moment.

The Jaguars won their second game of the season. Allen had eight tackles, one sack and one interception and a fumble recovery in the contest.

The Bills fell to 5-3 overall. It was not a good day for the Bills offense. The talented quarterback completed 31 of 47 passes for 264 yards and two interceptions.
