Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo turned an unfortunate occurrence into a special moment Tuesday night. Prior to Manchester United’s Champions League matchup against BSC Young Boys in Switzerland, Ronaldo accidently hit a match stewardess with a soccer ball in warmups.

Ronaldo quickly rushed over to check on the stewardess as she received medical attention. He apologized and gave her his jersey after the game. The steward proudly wore Ronaldo’s jersey to express her gratitude.

Manchester United suffered a tough 2-1 loss to BSC Young Boys. Ronaldo scored the lone goal in the 13th minute. He was optimistic the club could rebound after the loss.

“Wasn’t the result we wanted, but now it’s time to recover well and focus on the next game,” Ronaldo wrote on his personal Twitter account.

Since re-joining Manchester United, Ronaldo has scored three goals in two appearances. The club will be back in action against West Ham United on Sunday.
