Butler Blue IV knows who's boss and it's his handler...or is it coach LaVall Jordan?
AVON -- Blue IV is pulling back on his handler Evan Krauss. A huge, furry cat is walking in a yard, taunting him. The cat clearly has no idea there's a problem with what he's doing.
Blue IV does. He wants to get to that cat, whose yard is the opposite way from the house Blue IV is supposed to be walking to for a surprise acceptance visit to a future Butler student.
"Come on Blue. We're going this way," Evan Krauss, Blue IV's handler, coaxed him Monday morning. "Blue, let's go this way. Oh... there's a cat."
With a firm tug from Krauss, Blue IV turned his attention the other way and did what he was supposed to do.

He meandered his way up to the home of Parker Adams, that student who was being surprised.
This was why Blue IV was in Avon, for that fabulous photo shoot next to Parker. He walked up and sat on the porch. Now, he needed to look square into the cameras of the media who had gathered.
But he was enamored by Parker's sister, Sophia, sitting to his left, putting on her shoes. He wasn't going to look forward.
"Blue, hey Bluey, Blue, you want a biscuit?" Krauss says. "Hey Blue, where's your biscuits at?"
Nope, evidently Blue IV was still full from breakfast. And still watching Sophia. He wasn't going to look at the cameras -- not until he heard what makes his heart skip a beat and prompts him to obey.
"Hey Blue, you want to go to Hinkle?" Krauss said. "You want to go to a basketball game?"
There it was. The words Blue IV loves to hear. Hinkle Fieldhouse and basketball. His very own stomping grounds.
He looked right at the cameras. They snapped. Then Blue IV promptly stood up to leave. Basketball? Yes. Blue IV needed to get to that game.
"No, we're not going yet," Krauss told him. "Sit. Sit. There you go, good job. Stay."
Blue IV let out a big yawn then looked away again. Krauss tried it again.
"Ok Blue, you want to go to that basketball game I was talking about?" he said.
This time basketball wasn't enough. Clearly Krauss wasn't taking him to a game. So Krauss tried the words that Blue IV cannot ignore.
"Blue, where is coach Jordan?" he asked. Blue IV moved his head as quickly as any lazy English bulldog can toward the cameras.
Jordan? Men's basketball coach LaVall Jordan?
He jumped up and hopped off the porch. The photo shoot was over. Blue IV evidently knows who the real boss is.
