Memphis offensive lineman Jakari Robinson enters transfer portal
Robinson, a redshirt junior, was a graduate transfer from Cincinnati and committed to Memphis in April.
From 2018-20, Robinson started 24 games at center for Cincinnati, including all 14 games in 2019. However, Robinson served as a backup to center to Jacob Likes, who has started all 11 games this season.
Robinson was one of three offensive linemen Memphis added from the portal this spring but all three had varying success Left tackle Austin Myers, who transferred from TCU, started four games but suffered a season-ending foot injury.
Devontae Dobbs, who also played left tackle, has appeared in just four games since transferring from Michigan State
The Tigers (5-6, 2-5 AAC) are already thin with depth at offensive line heading into their regular season finale hosting Tulane (2-9, 1-6) on Saturday (6:30 p.m., ESPNU). In addition to Myers, left guard Isaac Ellis has missed the past two games with an undisclosed injury.
