Tennessee basketball makes final four for Cason Wallace, 5-star guard in 2022 class

Tennessee basketball is one of the final suitors for five-star guard Cason Wallace.

Wallace announced the Vols are in his final four with Kentucky, Texas and UTSA on Wednesday on Twitter.

The Richardson, Texas, product is the No. 12 prospect in the nation in the 2022 class, according to the 247Sports Composite. Wallace's brother, Keaton, is a senior guard at UTSA.

The 6-foot-4, 185-pound Wallace took an official visit to Tennessee in June after receiving an offer in April.

Rick Barnes and the Vols have signed four five-star prospects in the past three recruiting lasses: Josiah-Jordan James, Keon Johnson, Jaden Springer and Kennedy Chandler.

Catholic's BJ Edwards is Tennessee's lone 2022 commit. Edwards, the No. 99 prospect nationally, committed to the Vols in July.

Tennessee signed the No. 4 class in the nation in the 2021 class after signing the No. 5 class in 2020.
