Pro Football Network: Washington 23, Giants 17

Ben Rolfe writes: "All eyes this week will be on the health of Ryan Fitzpatrick after he left Sunday’s game with a hip injury. Then again, Taylor Heinicke played at least solid football after replacing him, so the downgrade is not massive. The concerns for the Giants are much bigger. The Broncos are the sort of team they should be at least competitive with — and they were simply outplayed. It may only be Week 1, but this season has the feeling of one that could go bad fast for the Giants."

Fansided: Washington 20, Giants 17

Matt Lombardo writes: "Given the NY Giants’ offensive struggles, and that Chase Young has the potential to wreak havoc as Von Miller (two sacks in Week 1) did against Daniel Jones, it might be a tough ask for New York to go on the road and pick up a win. However, don’t expect a high-scoring affair as Henicke is forced into action, replacing Fitzpatrick."

Riggo's Rag: Washington 20, Giants 14

Jerry Trotta writes: "This isn’t easy, folks. However, our gut is telling us that the Football Team will bounce back and get a much-needed win over their longtime rivals. Taylor Heinicke looked sharp after relieving the injured Ryan Fitzpatrick and we’re expecting he’ll keep the passing game humming against a sound Giants secondary. Speaking of which, expect the Giants’ defense to keep this one close. It’s also worth noting that four of Daniel Jones’ eight wins as a starting QB have come against Washington, so expect Chase Young and Co. to look to make a statement."

Can Daniel Jones and the New York Giants defeat the Washington Football Team in Week 2 of the 2021 NFL season?

Twin Spires: Washington 21, Giants 18

Ashley Anderson writes: "Last season, the Giants narrowly beat Washington and backup Kyle Allen at home, 20-19, then celebrated a 23-20 win a month later, with Alex Smith in at quarterback for Washington. Both teams exhibited issues in Sunday's losses, and the quick turnaround will prevent them from adequately addressing them before an important division matchup. Washington's defense will make the difference, and will force Jones into committing a few costly mistakes. Expect a close, ugly battle, with WFT ultimately outlasting New York to snap a five-game losing streak to its division foe."

Cappers Picks: Go with Washington against Giants

It writes: "This has the chance to be a good one between 2 tough teams in the NFC East. I do not seeing it be a shootout. I look for both defenses to be solid in this game. I like the fact that Washington is playing at home in this one, which is a big reason why I like them in this one. For me, the spread of 4.5 is too high, so I will lay off that and go with them straight up. Give me the Football Team here."

Big On Sports: Take the Giants with the points against Washington

George Newman writes: "The Giants have owned the series recently winning the previous five meetings. They escaped with a pair of close wins last year, but I don’t think New York will be up to the challenge. Jones hasn’t proven he’s worth the first-round pick the Giants used to get him and Barkley will probably struggle again against a more rested defense. Previous games have been close, though, and I’ll back New York with the points."
