Pro Football Network: 49ers 27, Packers 23

Ben Rolfe writes: "The 49ers looked unconvincing in Week 2 but still managed to pull out a win against the Eagles. Assuming the Packers get rolling on Monday Night Football against the Lions, Green Bay vs. San Francisco should be an intriguing game. The 49ers’ defense could be the difference here, as it proved in Week 2 it can carry this team when the offense is struggling."

Vincent Frank writes: "With Aaron Rodgers aboard, the Packers are legit NFC title contenders. Either way, these Packers have struggled big time against San Francisco in recent seasons. It’s just not a good matchup, even with Rodgers in the mix. Expect the 49ers to take advantage of that with a huge Week 3 home win."

Play Picks: Take the Packers with the points against the 49ers

Brian Sausa writes: "In a rematch from the NFC title game a couple of seasons ago, the Packers will visit the 49ers at Levi’s Stadium. Oddsmakers see this game as an even matchup on paper, as the Niners are three-point favorites across the board. San Francisco lost both coordinators from the coaching staff but still have Kyle Shanahan and a deep roster on both sides of the ball. Green Bay’s struggles along the offensive line could be exposed yet again, which would help mitigate the huge disadvantage that the Niners have at quarterback and on offense in general. I’ve sided with Rodgers and Green Bay in so many toss-up situations, including him going home to northern California to play the Niners, and have fallen flat. Have I learned my lesson? Nope. Take Green Bay and the points, or wait for this line to grow before you back the Packers to stay in this game just when everyone thinks they’re about to go downhill."

Will Jimmy Garoppolo lead the San Francisco 49ers past the Green Bay Packers in Week 3 of the 2021 NFL season?

CBS Sports: Packers 28, 49ers 24

Cody Benjamin writes: "Aaron Rodgers is still in Green Bay, having seized control of his future with the franchise, so this is no prime-time cakewalk for Shanahan, despite his history against Matt LaFleur. Forced to throw in a shootout, Garoppolo can't quite match No. 12."

NBC Sports: 49ers 35, Packers 17

Matt Maiocco writes: "The 49ers should like this game."

Matt Johnson writes: "Green Bay won’t have Za’Darius Smith for several weeks after the Pro Bowl pass rusher landed on injured reserve. Playing without their best edge rusher and their All-Pro left tackle, the Packers just don’t have the talent to beat the 49ers in San Francisco."
