Sportsnaut: Titans 27, Colts 20

Matt Johnson writes: "We expected the AFC South to be a close two-team race this season with these matchups deciding the victor. Already projecting the Colts to start 0-2, things only get worse against the Tennessee Titans. Things might be different at Lucas Oil Stadium, but the Colts can’t contain Derrick Henry, Julio Jones and AJ Brown. If Wentz is out, the margin of defeat is much wider."

Top Bet: Titans 28, Colts 21

It writes: "Tennessee finally scored a win in the 2021 NFL season. The Titans recovered from a 38-13 beating at the hands of the Arizona Cardinals at home in Week 1 by scoring a 33-30 overtime victory over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2. It was a game where Julio Jones broke out for his new team. Jones was silent in the Arizona game but exploded for 128 receiving yards on just six carries. Also, running back Derrick Henry smashed through Seattle’s defense for 182 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 35 carries. The defense still needs some fixing for Tennessee, but given Indianapolis’ quarterback status, the Titans could effectively limit a Colts’ offense that might have Eason under center. Tennessee’s defense is staring at the Colts’ leaky pass protection that’s a favorable matchup for the Titans’ defensive front."

Play Picks: Take the Colts with the points against the Titans

Brian Sausa writes: "In one of the most highly-anticipated matchups of the week, Indianapolis travels to Tennessee for an AFC South clash. Both of these teams figure to be in the playoff hunt once again, but things have certainly started bumpy for both sides. Indianapolis opened at -1 in the offseason but in response to early-season action, the Titans are now favored by a field goal. Check on the health of the Colts’ offensive line but assuming Quenton Nelson and Eric Fisher are playing, we’re looking at the road team and the points. The Titans’ offense has the ability to be prolific, we know that. But its defense is completely fraudulent, so the Colts will likely have similar success."

Will Derrick Henry lead the Tennessee Titans past the Indianapolis Colts in Week 3 of the 2021 NFL season?

Sportsnaut: Titans 31, Colts 23

It writes: "A lot of this will depend on the health of Colts quarterback Carson Wentz after he suffered an ankle injury in Week 2’s loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Even if Wentz is healthy, I don’t envision Indianapolis’ defense being able to stop the freight train that is Derrick Henry. It should lead to a second consecutive win for the Titans."

Tennessean: Titans 27, Colts 18

Ben Arthur writes: "Between quarterback Carson Wentz’s foot injury and COVID-19 issues over the summer, Indianapolis will be a better team later in the season."

Draft Kings: Titans will cover against Colts

It writes: "We don’t know yet if Carson Wentz will be able to go in this game and his presence will be a huge factor in how this line ends up going. Jacob Eason has a strong arm, but will get his team in trouble. The Titans will need to get their passing game going at some point, but this week Derrick Henry was enough to beat a good Seahawks team on the road. The Titans are the early pick at home."
