Carson Wentz took to Instagram to reflect on Colts season after Jacksonville loss
Colts quarterback Carson Wentz took to Instagram following a disappointing end to the season — a lopsided loss to Jacksonville with a playoff berth on the line.
"Not the finish we wanted or expected, but a special year nonetheless," he said. "The finality of it definitely stings and will take time to get over, but above all, I'll miss the locker room and the special group of guys we had this year. I never take that for granted, knowing that it'll never be the same. Thank you to all my teammates, coaches, staff, and fans for making this season one I'll never forget. So much to look forward to and lots of work still to do, but I promise, we will be back even better next year... and it can't come soon enough."
Wentz had mixed results in his first year with the Colts. He threw for 3,563 yards and 27 touchdowns. In the Colts' final two games, he threw for 333 yards, two touchdowns and an interception combined.
Colts coach Frank Reich wouldn't commit to Wentz as the team's starter for next season, though he is under contract through 2024.
