Luciano Acosta's two-assist performance against Toronto FC was just part of what propelled him to his fifth MLS Team of the Week honor, FC Cincinnati announced Monday.

Acosta assisted on both goals in FC Cincinnati's 2-0 win Saturday against Toronto FC, marking FCC's first-ever victory at TQL Stadium.

The assists brought Acosta up to eight on the year, which was good enough to move him into joint-third place in the assists race in MLS so far in 2021.

FC Cincinnati midfielder Luciano Acosta (11) is hit by Toronto FC defender Kemar Lawrence (92) in the second half of an MLS soccer match between the FC Cincinnati and the Toronto FC on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021, at TQL Stadium in West End.

Previously, Acosta was named to the Team of the Week following the July 9 draw with Columbus Crew.

He was also named to the Team of the Week twice in a matter of days in recognition for his role in FC Cincinnati's June 26 victory against Toronto as well as the 1-0 win against Chicago Fire FC at Soldier Field three days earlier.

Acosta also made the first Team of the Week for 2021 after club's April 17 season-opener against Nashville SC, which ended in a 2-2 draw.
